Unconventional art

Banksy first of all. But also Jago and Tvboy. From Oct. 21, 2023, the city of Biella will tell the contemporary through the eyes of the most influential living artists. The exhibition is the first to inaugurate a new course of artistic appointments, realized by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella in collaboration with the City of Biella and Arthemisia and with main sponsor Biver Banca - Gruppo Banca di Asti.

The review tells stories "against the tide," telling us about life, death, social injustice, and wars, narrated now with a singsong spirit, now with lyrical mastery or even with a decidedly attacking tone. What is certain is that the message is never trivial or obvious; it shakes consciences, outrages, moves. As only great artists can do.

anksy, Jago and TvBoy, some of the most famous artists in the world, will be just some of the protagonists of the Biella exhibition, which will also see for the first time international celebrities such as David LaChapelle, Takashi Murakami, Liu Bolin, Obey, Mr. Brainwash and many others gathered together. The exhibition, curated by Piernicola Maria Di Iorio, will consist of more than 70 works including famous icons such as Banksy's Girl with Baloon or Obey's Hope, and will take place over two venues: Palazzo Gromo Losa and Palazzo Ferrero, which are part of the Biella Piazzo Cultural Hub.

It will also be an opportunity for many visitors to learn more about Biella, its verdant territory and excellent gastronomic offerings.

Among the most interesting cultural realities are the Ricetto of Candelo, the Sanctuary of Oropa and the Oasi Zegna, an ideal destination to be able to find great spaces, activities and innovative workshops, and also the famous Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto and the impressive heritage of industrial archaeology. The exhibition is produced by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella in collaboration with the Municipality of Biella and Arthemisia.
