Electric, small, lightweight, easy to drive and park: in the coming months, the Rome Enjoy car fleet will be expanded with the arrival of the zero-emission XEV YOYO microcar. At first, there will be 100 cars available, which will increase to 200 when fully operational.
The Eni car sharing thus becomes increasingly sustainable and consumer-friendly. Thanks to battery swapping, the battery-replacement alternative to charging at stations, customers no longer have to worry about charging.
Millions of people choose to move around big cities with car sharing–from day-to-day travel to business trips–without giving up the practical comforts of a car.
The agile, new 100% electric Enjoy is the best solution for getting around the streets of Rome because it takes up very little space for parking, which in the capital is often a problem especially in the center.
This city car can reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Its unmistakable lime green color and range of up to 150 km make it a real gem for city travel. The new vehicle joins Rome's Enjoy fleet after successful deployment in Turin, Bologna, Florence and Milan last year. Thes city cars have already proven their micro-mobility potential, allowing Enjoy customers more frequent rentals for shorter distances.
The big novelty with the Enjoy XEV YOYO is battery swapping: the technology that eliminates the recharging time by replacing the battery pack in just minutes. The operation–available at participating Eni Live Stations–is performed directly by Enjoy, and the cars are delivered fully-charged to customers.
In Rome, as in Milan, XEVs will have a special coverage area. The rate is 29 cents per minute with a fixed charge of 1 euro for unlocking the vehicle at the start of the rental.
Enjoy car sharing has been available in Milan since 2013 and is now present in five Italian cities with a fleet of nearly 3,000 vehicles (including Fiat 500 Hybrids, Doblòs and the new electric XEV YOYOs). It has more than 1.5 million customers and more than 30 million rentals completed in the past ten years.
