To the point that the 2023 edition of Vicenzaoro will be remembered as a record-breaking event. Now that the most difficult years for the industry have passed, numbers are back on the rise.
Vicenzaoro January 2023 closes with a clear doubling in numbers of foreign buyers compared to the winter 2022 edition (+105%) and with an all-time record attendance of +11.5% compared to the pre-pandemic edition in January 2020. About 60% of visitors come from abroad, from 136 countries around the world, with Europe accounting for 54.5%, the Middle East 9.5%, Asia 9%, Turkey 9%, North America 7.2%, Africa 5.4% and Latin America 4.7%.
The individual countries most represented in absolute terms include the United States and Turkey; Greece, Germany, Spain, the UK and France from Europe; the United Arab Emirates, Israel and Saudi Arabia from the Middle East; India, Japan and Thailand from Asia. The Italian presence from all regions was also very positive, with Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio and Sicily up by over 20% compared to pre-pandemic numbers. There is growth also for T.Gold, the international innovation showcase dedicated to goldsmith machinery and the very latest technology applied to gold and jewelry; while VO Vintage, dedicated to vintage watches and jewelry, is consolidating its success.
The total gross media contacts exceeded 224 million and the professional operators featured in the exhibitor profiles on the B2B platform The Jewelery Golden Cloud generated over 200,000 views.
These numbers and outputs instill optimism in the market players, with 1,300 exhibitor brands at the Vicenza fair and 400 hosted foreign buyers, who confirm the excellent health of Italian exports.
